About the Hornisse:
The first German Hornisse tank destroyers to see combat in WWII were those involved in Operation Zitadelle in Kursk in the summer of 1943. The Hornisse weighed 24 tonnes, and despite its thin armor and high silhouette, it successfully dispatched many an enemy tank to the scrap heap, thanks to its excellent 88mm PaK43 main armament.
